Ray Van Neste has a great site on children’s literature from a Christian perspective. As homeschoolers, Shua and I are always looking for ways to find good books for our kids to read that do not have the trash value that so many books out there have. I remember reading Judy Blume as a kid because my sister was reading those books. Boy, I wish my mom and dad knew what we were reading. He stuff is terrible. The thing is, there is actually much more trashier stuff out there for kids than that these days. Just head on over to Barnes and Borders to the ‘Young Readers’ section and you’ll see what I mean. Many of the books areabout girls liking boys and boys liking girls. No wonder elementary school kids are getting younger in their experimentation in sexuality. “Educational books” for kids are out there that are telling kids to explore such feelings as a good thing.
Any way, if you have kids and are interested in finding better things for them to read, check out his site. It is a tremendous help.

Thanks for the inform on this. My wife and I are seriously considering homeschooling. Our oldest, Jonny, is finishing 1st grade, and our 2nd, Elise, is 5 years old and is in pre-school. We are most likely going to homeschool Elise. She specifically asked if she can be homeschooled. Jonny is getting more positive about it too. Anyway, I forward the link to my wife and she has already ordered some books from the website you recommended. Thanks.
I’ll be asking you for more help on homeschooling.
