I've been using him for John and he does a great job on the expositional side that some of the exegetically commentaries leave out. Calvin always has some tremendous insights. I haven't used MacArthur at all. I would imagine he'd be good as well, as long as you know how to filter out his dispensational presuppositions. I really like Boice.
