Married and Romantic

Here is an article from Marriedlife on Marriage and Romance. Husbands, please consider marital romance as a continuance of your passion for your wife. The longer you are married, the more romantic you should become. Why should romance be a thing of the past. But admittedly, romance requires intentionality and desire, two things lazy men (like me) easily succumb to.

For example how do you watch a movie?

• In regards to picking out a movie I research both www.screenit.com & www.kids-in-mind.com to discern if this film is appropriate for us to see

• Try to have meaningful questions prepared for the dinner time like

• Consider assigning some brief reading prior to the date and then leading a discussion on it over your meal

• Arrive at dinner ready to share some evidences of grace you see in her life

• Have a theme, if you are going to see a romantic movie, possibly have a romantic dinner planned with romantic questions

• As you view the movie, hold hands or snuggle.

• Tell her often how thankful you are to be with her

• After the movie don’t rush out and walk like penguins in crowded lines to the door. Sit there, gaze into each other’s eyes, and talk about the film

• Questions I ask Jerusha after the movie (sometimes over coffee):

o On a 1-10 scale how would you rate it and why?
o What was your favorite part?
o Anything you didn’t like or thought wasn’t good?
o Should we recommend it? Why or why not?
