So here I am in Minneapolis. It’s actually a beautiful cityscape, at least from a downtown perspective. However, there definitely is a dearth of people. Looking for a restaurant, there was not much to eat. My friend Steve and I were walking around town trying to find something, but alas, there wasn’t much open except for the pubs.
We’re both looking forward to the DGM conference this evening. It should be very interesting. I’ll be blogging on it each day.
I also had an opportunity to listen to the RC Sproul and Al Mohler messages from the Together for the Gospel. Al’s was a good lecture on the tide of cultural influences on the proclamation of the Gospel. RC’s was interesting. It was sort of a montage of RC on RC (Roman Catholicism) and its perspective of justification. But RC’s closing was quite moving, almost like a plea from a Christian (and not just a theologian) to hold onto the power of the Gospel, justification by faith alone. It was enough to move me closer to tears.
Well, we’re off to take a few pictures of the cityscape. I hope to post some of them on flickr. See you later.
