in Voddie Baucham’s book Family Driven Faith, he writes, “I’d rather eat a sandwich with my wife than make love to another woman.” And I can hardly agree more. That sentence really jumped out at me, but it is so true. When you understand just how precious covenant love is between you and your spouse, when you begin to understand that your marriage is a reflection of the Gospel love that Christ had for the church, you begin to see that no extra-marital, sexual relationship or activity can compare to the bond and joy of marriage. Being away from Shua for these past few weeks has been a wonderful reminder of this reality. So I can’t wait to go to Togos with Shua. Three more days and counting.
