We usually begin our family worship with hymn singing from hymnals (the ole fashioned way, no guitar, just Shua playing the piano). And I’ll usually pick hymns that we rarely sing, just so that we can learn some new ones. The kids though have their favorites and last night, each were calling out their own. Well, Jack had his favorite, Hymn #37. He pleaded with me to sing this hymn so we closed our hymn singing with his favorite hymn, the Hallelujah chorus from Handel’s Messiah. It’s pretty funny considering that it’s both hard to play on the piano and hard to sing. It was still a blast.
