Prayer The purpose of the Prayer Team at Wellspring is two-fold
- To intercede on behalf of our church to bring about healing, restoration and blessing
- To encourage our church to unceasingly pray in the Spirit as we engage in daily spiritual battles
While the purpose remains strong in each prayer team member’s heart, we are still in the developing stages of implementation. We have come up with a list of possibilities to support our purpose. These are as follows:
- To cover the church and its ministries in prayer through weekly corporate meetings
- To provide personal prayer support and intercession through Sunday services and prayer requests submitted by cards and email
- To be used by God to encourage prayerful hearts through prayer events such as prayer retreats, prayer hikes, praise and prayer nights and other such things
The hopes seem great and the tasks loom large—but we are excited to see God grow Wellspring as a church community in our corporate and personal prayer dependence on Him.
